If we were to remove the last distribution unit (02) from our pattern our shortended pattern would be 02140808XX. There are 136 unique 6 number combinations that have this pattern. If we were to remove the first distribution unit (02) from our pattern our shortended pattern would be XX14080802. There are 136 unique 6 number combinations that have this pattern. I would only consider trying to eliminate other combinations if this pattern had been drawn before. Since this pattern has never been drawn, I would not eliminate other number combinations using shortended versions of this pattern.
